We’ve made it pretty clear that we’re not huge fans of LaVar Ball. He’s a fountain of ridiculous, not least of all his suggestion that he could have taken Michael Jordan one-on-one.
Perhaps the fact that his youngest son, LaMelo, now works for Michael Jordan has tempered his outbursts, or at least his most ludicrous ones.
Could be.
But that doesn’t explain the sudden sanity behind what he said about Zion Williamson, although Williamson himself might not have liked it all. Here’s what Ball had to say:
