Here’s the Duke Chronicle’s latest player profile, this time of the redoubtable and indefatigable Jordan Goldwire.
If you remember, Goldwire came to Duke in 2017 as backup for Trevon Duval. If we remember correctly, Duke told him they wanted someone to run the second team in practice. He jumped at the offer.
He didn't play a lot as a freshman, but in 2018 he came off the bench against Louisville and, with Tre Jones, strangled the Cardinal backcourt leading to an historic comeback.
As a sophomore he emerged as an effective defender but as a junior he added reliable offense (his sophomore offense was pretty bad, frankly).
