DURHAM, N.C. – For the second straight season, Duke University point guard Kyra Lambert will be sidelined as the redshirt junior reinjured her knee. She is expected to have surgery in November for a meniscal tear and to reconstruct her ACL in her left knee.
“I will not be playing this 2018-19 season due to having another knee surgery,” said Lambert. “This has been an extremely difficult and frustrating process, but I know that God has a plan. This is just another step in my journey.”
Lambert, who was named to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list last week, was still going through rehab and had yet to be cleared for practices involving contact.
