DURHAM, N.C. – Duke senior third baseman and relief pitcher Jack Labosky was named to the Baseball America All-America third team as announced by the organization Thursday.
A two-time All-ACC second team selection, Labosky collects the first All-America citation of his distinguished career. The Clovis, Calif., native is the 10th Blue Devil to earn an All-America nod and the first since Marcus Stroman in 2012.
In addition to starting every game at third base this season, Labosky has also taken the mound for 21 relief appearances as Duke’s primary closer. Named to the 2018 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List, he has allowed three runs in 21 relief appearances, posting a 2-0 record and 0.
