DURHAM – Duke women's tennis freshman Shavit Kimchi received an invitation to compete in the NCAA Singles Championship, which will run from May 20-25 at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla.
Kimchi, who hails from Sdey Hemed, Israel, will be one of 64 singles players that will compete for a national championship. All matches will be the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all will be used for all matches.
On the season, Kimchi has totaled a 17-11 overall mark in singles action, including five wins against ranked opponents.
