SEBRING, Fla. – Duke University women's golf junior Gina Kim closed a wire-to-wire victory Thursday at the Harder Hall Women's Invitational as she shot a one-under-par, 287, at the Harder Hall Resort Club in Sebring, Fla.
A native of Chapel Hill, N.C., Kim collected rounds of 67, 69, 78 and 73 to win by one stroke over Chloe Kovelesky (288). Duke incoming freshman Sophia Bae placed sixth with rounds of 76, 69, 71 and 78 for a 294.
"Being able to compete after four months of preparing and getting ready really feels great and I'm truly grateful to everyone who's supported me this whole time," said Kim.
