DURHAM, N.C. - Thanks to a three-hit day from Jameson Kavel and the second home run of the weekend from Katherine Huey, the Duke Blue Devils (5-3) dominated the Purdue Boilermakers (1-7) to the tune of 8-1 during day two of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
After a scoreless first two innings, the Blue Devils struck first behind Kavel's RBI triple that drove home Haley Wymbs. Jazmine Moreno followed with a sac fly to center that would push Kavel across. The major blow came three batters later, as Huey blasted a two-run shot over the fence in left to push Duke's lead to 4-0 after three.
