DURHAM, N.C.—The honors continue to roll in for Duke’s Myles Jones. One day after being named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America first team, the junior midfielder was selected as the Lt. j.g. Donald MacLaughlin Jr. Award winner as announced the organization Friday.
Jones is the fourth Blue Devil to win the award, joining Jim Gonnella (1997), Kevin Cassese (2002) and CJ Costabile (2012). The honor marks the sixth time a Duke player has garnered one of the USILA major awards under head coach John Danowski.
Jones, the nation’s leading midfield scorer, paced Duke’s offense in 2015 with a career-best 77 points from 40 goals and 37 assists.
