DURHAM – Duke redshirt senior Garrett Johns has been selected the ACC Men's Tennis Player of the Week following his impressive performance last weekend.
Johns clinched both matches for No. 15 Duke against Yale and No. 11 Kentucky in the Blue Devils' undefeated weekend. The Atlanta native helped secure Duke's eventual 6-1 win over Yale by earning a straight set, ranked win over No. 73 Theo Dean on Friday. He followed that up with another straight set win over Joshua Lapadat on Sunday to clinch Duke's first win over Kentucky since 2020.
