LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) revealed the 55 student-athletes selected to the 2023 NFCA Division I All-America teams with freshman D'Auna Jennings earning second-team honors.
Jennings wrapped up her first year in Durham in strong fashion, setting school single-season records in batting average (.462) and hits (80) and ranks sixth nationally in both categories. The Houston, Texas, native also placed second all-time in stolen bases with 21 on the year, which sits behind graduate student Deja Davis' mark of 24 in 2019. Jennings quickly proved her power on offense and earned her spot in the lineup, starting in centerfield in 58-of-60 games this year.
