PETERBOROUGH, Ontario – The 2019 Women’s Lacrosse U19 World Championships came to a close Saturday with sophomore Maddie Jenner and the United States taking home the gold medal.
Jenner corralled eight draw controls in Team USA’s 13-3 victory over Canada en route to receiving All-World Team recognition.
Incoming Blue Devil freshman Ainsley Thurston won silver with Canada and sophomore Hannah Thurston helped guide England to a fourth-place showing. Hannah finished with one assist and four draw controls Saturday against Australia to join Jenner in being named to the tournament’s All-World Team.
