DURHAM, N.C. -- Former Duke Basketball star Amile Jefferson and incoming freshman R.J. Barrett have been selected to wear their national team colors this summer in qualifiers for the 2019 FIBA World Cup. Jefferson is representing the United States, while Barrett is playing for Team Canada.
Barrett, the No. 1-ranked player in the 2018-19 class, was added to the Canadian Senior Men’s National Team Training Camp roster in June. He and his teammates will host a pair of qualifying games in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers later this month.
