Jarvis Taken by Yankees in 37th Round of MLB Draft

DURHAM, N.C. – For the third time Wednesday, a Duke Blue Devil was chosen in the 2019 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft, as sophomore right-handed pitcher Bryce Jarvis was taken in the 37^th round (1,125^th overall pick) by the New York Yankees.

Jarvis is the fifth Blue Devil to be selected in this year’s draft, joining teammates Graeme Stinson (Tampa Bay Rays, fourth round, 128^th overall), Ben Gross (Minnesota Twins, 10^th round, 299^th overall), Kennie Taylor (New York Mets, 14^th round, 418^th overall) and Adam Laskey (Chicago Cubs, 19^th round, 582^nd overall).
