CROMWELL, Conn. – After an impressive amateur and professional golf career, Duke women's golf 2006 graduate Liz Janangelo was rewarded on Thursday, Dec. 7 as she was inducted into the Connecticut Golf Hall of Fame during a ceremony at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.
Janangelo, who started playing golf when she was three years old, won her first amateur tournament at the age of 13 when she earned the title at the Connecticut Women's Amateur in 1997. She went on to win five Connecticut Women's Amateur titles in a row.
When Janangelo committed to Duke, she was the top-ranked junior golfer in the country.
