An early and key injury for Duke football as sophomore wide receiver Jake Bobo has fractured his right clavicle. He’s out indefinitely.
You may remember that Duke QB Daniel Jone was out with a similar injury last year and came back quickly. However, quarterbacks get protection from teammates and to some extent the rules.
Wide receivers don’t get anything like that. They’re exposed to blocks and hits constantly and unlike quarterbacks occasionally go up in the air to make a catch, only to get tossed rudely back to the ground. They’re pretty much on their own.
