DURHAM, N.C. – Powered by career-best performances, Duke softball used a six-run inning to defeat NC Central, 10-2, in sixth frames on Tuesday night at the Duke Softball Stadium.
Sophomore Caroline Jacobsen had a career-high night at the plate, garnering two home runs and four RBI during a 2-for-3 performance. In the circle, Brianna Butler picked up her fourth win (4-1) while racking up a career-high eight strikeouts.
The Blue Devils (13-2) recorded their sixth run-rule of the 2020 season, marking the most in a single season in program history, while the Eagles dropped to 0-9 on the year.
