Jackson Developing into Complete Running Back

DURHAM, N.C. – Sophomore running back Deon Jackson turned in a record-breaking performance at Pittsburgh, establishing the Duke single-game mark for all-purpose yards with 403.

Jackson became just the third player in ACC history with 400 or more all-purpose yards in a contest, joining Clemson’s Tobias Palmer (496 vs. N.C. State, 2012) and Wake Forest’s John Leach (411 vs. Maryland, 1993).

The 6-0, 220-pound native of Atlanta currently leads Duke with 647 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

Coach David Cutcliffe's Duke Football Show spoke with Jackson about how his role has changed this season and how his career started as a wide receiver.
