Jack White Wins World University Bronze with Australia

Duke men’s basketball rising senior Jack White scored 11 points and pulled down nine rebounds for his home country of Australia in an 86-69 defeat of Israel in the bronze medal game at the 30th World University Summer Games Thursday in Napoli, Italy.

The Traraglon, Victoria native went four-for-six from the field and gathered eight defensive boards in the Bronze Medal Game. Over the six games in the tournament, White averaged 10.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

Australia dropped its first game to Israel on July 4, 92-64, but bounced back to win three straight, including wins over Mexico (105-62), Czech Republic (88-59) and Argentina (73-64).
