It didn’t start out great for Team Australia at the World University Games after a 28-point loss to Team Israel, but the Aussies were able to kick it into next gear in the final two games of the group stage and find a spot in the knockout round.
In the first game against Israel, Duke Basketball senior forward Jack White struggled, like the rest of the team, with five points and six rebounds, while going 1-for-3 from the field and three-for-six from the free throw line.
It was a quick turnaround for the Australian Team as next up was Team Mexico, with both teams desperately needing a win to keep its hopes of advancing to the knockout stage alive.
