GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke sophomore linebacker Ben Humphreys earned ACC Linebacker of the Week honors following his performance against Virginia Tech this past Saturday.
In the 24-21 loss to the 23rd-ranked Hokies, Humphreys collected a career-high 16 total tackles including 1.5 tackles for loss. A native of Newport Beach, Calif., Humphreys helped Duke hold Virginia Tech to 12 points below its season scoring average entering the week.
On the season, Humphreys leads the Blue Devils in tackles with 81 while his tackles per game average of 9.00 ranks sixth in the ACC.
