DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt freshman running back Marvin Hubbard III underwent surgery on Sunday morning to repair a ruptured left Achilles tendon suffered in the Blue Devils’ loss to Virginia Tech.
Hubbard III, who in five games rushed 30 times for 118 yards this season, will miss the remainder of the 2018 campaign.
The surgical procedure was performed by Dr. Annunziato Amendola.
Duke (4-1, 0-1 ACC) returns to action on Saturday, October 13 with a road contest at Georgia Tech (2-3, 0-2 ACC; at Louisville on Friday, October 5).
