DURHAM - Graduate student quarterback Gunnar Holmberg was named the PNC Acheivers Student-Athlete of the Week Award after leading the Duke football program to a 52-33 win over Kansas on Saturday.
A native of Wake Forest, N.C., Holmberg scored four rushing touchdowns, matching the school single-game record which has not been achieved since Brandon Connette against Miami in 2013.
Holmberg rushed 17 times for a total of 88 yards and four touchdowns. He completed 22-of-29 passes for a total of 328 yards, resulting in one touchdown and one interception.
