DURHAM – Former Duke standout wide receiver Clarkston Hines will be inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in April, announced on Tuesday by the organization.
Hines, a native of Chapel Hill, N.C., lettered four seasons (1986-87-88-89) at Duke, and established school, ACC and NCAA records during his career with the Blue Devils.
While in Durham, the consecutive First Team All-America pick in 1988 and 1989 caught 189 career passes for 3,318 yards and 38 touchdowns. He three times earned First Team All-ACC honors and graduated as Duke's career leader in receptions, receiving yards, touchdown receptions and 100-yard receiving games (18).
