GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sophomore Nathaniel Hernandez was in action at the 2017 USA Diving Winter National Championships Wednesday, competing in the men’s one-meter springboard event.
Hernandez totaled 291.40 points in the preliminary/quarterfinal round to come in 10th overall. His highest-scoring dive of the day was in the fifth round, when he earned an award of 54.00 on a reverse 2.5 somersault for a 3.0 degree of difficulty.
A native of Southlake, Texas, Hernandez has posted Duke’s best score of the season to date on the platform, totaling 355.70 points at the Tennessee Invitational.
