DURHAM, N.C. – Duke head women’s basketball coach Joanne P. McCallie announced Sunday evening that center Amber Henson will take an indefinite leave of absence from the program, effective immediately.
“At this time, it is in Amber’s best interest to take time away from basketball to focus on her personal well-being,” McCallie said. “We will continue to be in full support of Amber, and hope for her return to our program in the future.”
Henson, a graduate student from Tampa, Fla., has played in three games and averaged 1.3 points and 4.
