DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt senior tight end Daniel Helm has accepted an invitation to play in the 94th East-West Shrine Game, according to an announcement by the organization. Helm will depart the Blue Devils as a three-year starter with the program.
This year’s Shrine Game will kick off at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised live by the NFL Network. The game has been a launching pad for numerous NFL careers as 70 NFL Hall of Famers have played in the East-West Shrine Game in addition to more than 265 East-West Shrine Game alumni currently on NFL rosters.
