JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Senior Stefani Vukajlovic and freshman Monica Hebner punched their tickets to the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships Thursday evening at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, Fla.
Vukajlovic registered her best mark of 204-2.00 (62.23m) on her first toss in the women’s hammer throw competition. The senior placed seventh out of 48 competitors to qualify for NCAAs in June.
Rookie Hebner was highly successful on the track in the 10000m as she posted a 30-second PR, placing 11th overall in 33:52.83.
The Blue Devils qualified four to the quarterfinals of their respective events as Lauren Hoffman and India Lowe advanced out of the first round of the 400m hurdles while Kim Hallowes and Matt Wisner will compete in the quarterfinals of the 1500m and 800m, respectively.
