DURHAM, N.C.— Former Duke University women’s basketball National Player of the Year, Lindsey Harding was selected to be a part of Michelle Obama’s fifth annual College Signing Day event in Philadelphia, Pa., Wednesday alongside celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Rebel Wilson, Karlie Kloss, Ciara, Janelle Monae and Zendaya.
Harding, the former first lady and other celebrities were at Temple University to congratulate high school seniors on their decision to pursue higher education.
A 2007 Duke graduate and former WNBA standout, Harding was the No. 1 selection in the WNBA draft and played for seven different teams before retiring.
