GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke senior goaltender Eliot Hamill has been tabbed as the ACC Defensive Player of the Week, as the league announced on Tuesday.
Hamill becomes the first Blue Devil to win a ACC Defensive Player of the Week award since Will Pulisic was selected on October 23, 2017.
The award comes on the heels of a 1-0 shutout of Michigan by Hamill on Thursday in Ann Arbor. The captain recorded his second clean sheet of the season and fourth of his collegiate career, making two key saves and holding the Wolverines' offense in check.
