DURHAM – Redshirt sophomore kicker Charlie Ham was recognized Monday as a 'Star of the Week' by the Palm Beach Sports Commission Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award.
Ham, a native of Atlanta, Ga., matched his career high of 12 points to help the Blue Devils top Northwestern, 30-23, on Saturday. He connected on three of his four field goal attempts in the game, tying his previous career high of three field goals at Syracuse last season. His 50-yard field goal against the Wildcats was a career long. He also connected on 23- and 27-yard attempts.
