EUGENE, Ore. – Graduate student Simen Guttormsen garnered the bronze medal and United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) First Team All-America accolades while classmates Christian Johnson, Ezra Mellinger and Aimar Palma Simo earned nods to the second team as Duke track and field wrapped up the first day of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wednesday.
The Duke men close the door on a terrific outdoor season that saw the team register 14 top-five program marks on the year, including school records in the 800m, hammer throw and pole vault.
