DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University freshman attackman Justin Guterding was selected as the 2015 ACC Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Year in a vote of the league’s coaches, as announced by the conference office Tuesday. Guterding is the fifth Blue Devil to win the award.
Guterding leads the Duke offense with a league-best 46 goals and ranks second on the team with 62 points. A starter in all 16 games at attack, he has registered at least one point in all 16 outings and has at least a goal in 15 of those. He currently ranks 13th on the Duke single-season records list for goals and is 11 shy of matching Zack Greer’s freshman record of 57 set in 2005.
