Guterding Named ACC Offensive Player of the Year

DURHAM, N.C.—After leading the conference in scoring all season and winning five ACC Offensive Player of the Week awards, senior attackman Justin Guterding has been picked as the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year in a vote of the league’s five coaches.

Guterding is the third Blue Devil to win the league’s Offensive Player of the Year honor since it started in 2012. It marks the 14th time in Duke lacrosse history a Blue Devil has come away with a major ACC award. The Garden City, N.Y., native is the second Blue Devil in history to garner the ACC Rookie of the Year award and an ACC Player of the Year recognition – the other being current assistant coach Matt Danowski.
