CLEVELAND, Ohio—Duke senior attackman Justin Guterding scored five goals and added an assist to lead the third-ranked Blue Devils to a 9-3 victory at Cleveland State Sunday afternoon. It was the second game in two days for the Blue Devils as they held the Vikings without a goal in the second half.
The win pushes Duke to 8-1 overall on the year while Cleveland State falls to 2-7. The Blue Devils are 3-1 on the road heading into ACC play next weekend.
Duke jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening seven minutes with goals from Brad Smith, Guterding and Peter Conley.
