DURHAM, N.C.—For the second consecutive week Duke senior attackman Justin Guterding nabs the ACC Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office. It is the fifth such honor for the conference’s top scorer.
Guterding tallied six goals and added two assists for eight points to lead Duke to a commanding 17-5 victory over Marquette Friday night. The Garden City, N.Y., native a hand in four of Duke’s five first-half goals as the Blue Devils took a 5-3 lead into the locker room.
In the third quarter, the senior captain scored the first goal and added another tally and an assist to spearhead a 5-1 quarter and put Duke in front 10-4 after three periods.
