Well this is pretty great: when Patrick Beilein stepped down suddenly as Niagara’s coach late last month, October 24th to be precise, his assistant, former Duke point guard Greg Paulus, was named as his successor - on an interim basis.
Well, interim no more. Paulus has apparently made a strong impression and on Thursday Niagara made him the permanent coach.
Paulus is all of 33.
That’s okay - his college coach, Mike Krzyzewski, was 28 when Army hired him and his coach, Bob Knight, was just 25.
