Jim Boeheim has never tried to hide his contempt for the ACC’s Tobacco Road roots. Ever since Syracuse joined the ACC in 2013, he has railed against Greensboro as a site for the ACC Tournament.

Wednesday, moments after losing his ACC Tournament opener in his beloved New York City, the Hall of Fame coach couldn’t help taking another shot at the traditional home of the ACC Tournament.

“There’s no value in playing Greensboro, none,” he told reporters. “It’s there because the league’s been there and the office is there, and they have 150 people that the ACC needs.
