One of the major people in this piece is former Blue Devil Andy Borman, who says this: “It makes absolutely no sense to me...What’s happening right now, flat-out, is a media stunt. It’s a PR move by the NCAA. … It’s a joke.”
If you missed it, the Rice Commission, headed by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rise, would like the NCAA to make its own summer circuit and ban coaches from attending events held by shoe companies.
