The Duke women’s fencing squad enjoyed a remarkable regular season this winter, and one of the key contributors was a Blue Devil newcomer, Victoria Gorman.
The freshman saberist from Wellesley, Mass., won 73 percent of her matches while helping her team to a 25-4 overall record and No. 5 national ranking.
Gorman crafted an excellent run in January with an impressive 27-8 overall record. In that stretch, she tallied a 19-5 record at the Philadelphia Invitational to open her college career. In the process she led her team to a 16-3 record in the month.
