DURHAM, N.C. – Spearheaded by a great defensive effort in the first half Thursday and a career-high 30 points by graduate Haley Gorecki, the Duke women's basketball team downed Idaho State, 85-66, in non-conference action played in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils improved to 3-2 on the season, while Idaho State fell to 2-2.
Gorecki featured a solid all-around game collecting a career-high 30 points, while adding four rebounds, four assists, two steals and one blocked shot. It marked her 16 career contest with scoring 20 or more points, including the first time this year.
