DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University incoming women’s basketball freshmen Haley Gorecki and Kyra Lambert have been named to the Parade High School All-America team.
Gorecki, who hails from Palatine, Ill., averaged 23.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.2 assists per game as a senior. The 6-0 guard was also selected the Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year, while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line.
The 2015 Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year, Gorecki guided her Fremd H.S. team to a 29-5 overall record and an appearance in the Class 4A state championship game this past season.
