DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women's basketball junior Miela Goodchild collected a season-high 24 points and the Blue Devils took down East Carolina, 72-47, Saturday afternoon in Cameron Indoor Stadium to improve to 3-0 under the direction of head coach Kara Lawson.
Goodchild finished the contest hitting 6-of-10 three-pointers, while grabbing five rebounds in 25 minutes.
The Blue Devils got off to another good start in the contest leading by a 15-0 ledger as Duke hit 6-of-10 field goals to start the contest. Duke went on to lead 24-4 at the end of the first quarter as the Blue Devil defense held the Pirates to 13.
