DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University rising sophomore Miela Goodchild and her Australian side will begin group stage qualifying for the 2019 FIBA World Cup Saturday, July 20, taking on the United States in early morning action in the opening group game in Bangkok, Thailand. Hungary and Korea join the two sides in Group C as the field will crown a new champion this year, as the Russian squad failed to qualify and defend their 2017 crown.
Playing three games in four days, Australia battles Hungary on July 21 after its matchup with the United States. After a day off, a contest with Korea awaits on July 23 before teams find out their seeding as all 16 squads are placed into the knockout stages of the competition.
