DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University junior defenseman JT Giles-Harris has been named the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after helping the Blue Devils to a commanding 14-8 victory over No. 9 Notre Dame Saturday. Giles-Harris also garnered the weekly accolade March 11.
Giles-Harris played lockdown defense on Notre Dame leading scorer Brendan Gleason, holding the senior attackman to only one goal and just three shots. Gleason entered the game averaging three points per game. It marked the first time all season Gleason has been held to a single point in a game, while the three shots were tied for the second fewest in a game this season.
