Duke Bests Virginia…Again
For the 13th straight time in the regular season and for the 17th time in the previous 18 meetings, Duke got the better of Virginia. The two squads met as top 10 opponents this past Saturday – the first such meeting since 2015 – and Duke raced to the 18-13 victory in front of 2,681 fans at Klöckner Stadium. Justin Guterding headlined the offense with four goals and five assists, while Peter Conley and Joe Robertson both had hat tricks. Brad Smith had three assists and Brian Smyth came in to win 8-of-14 draws and score two goals.
