Duke Rallies for Top Five Victory
The top-ranked Blue Devils captured their first top-five victory Friday night over Denver since upsetting No. 5 Syracuse 16-15 March 26, 2016. Last weeks’ triumph over a top-five foe when also ranked in the top five was the first since the NCAA Championship win over No. 5 Notre Dame in 2014. With the win over Denver, Duke improves to 8-4 when ranked No. 1 under head coach John Danowski. It is the first time the Blue Devils have won when being ranked first since the 2008 NCAA quarterfinal win over Ohio State May 18.
