Blue Devils Drop Another Heartbreaker
Duke, for the second time this season, suffered a tough one-goal setback as it fell to No. 13 Syracuse 15-14 Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils, just like it did at Penn exactly 30 days prior, led after three quarters but couldn’t hold off their foe as the Orange outscored Duke 4-2 in the final frame. Syracuse tallied four of the game’s final five goals to pick up its second ACC victory and hand Duke just its second loss.
Junior midfielder Brad Smith is breaking through as a household name for the Blue Devils with strong showings in all 10 games and in particular the past four games.
