PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C.— The Duke women's golf duo of Megan Furtney and Erica Shepherd head into the final round of the Golfweek Caledonia Amateur in a tie for sixth place and only three shots off the individual lead at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.
A native of Greenwood, Ind., Shepherd carded a three-under-par, 68, Monday as she collected five birdies. She owns a 36-hole ledger of three-under-par, 139, with rounds of 71 and 68. Shepherd posted birdies on No. 4 and No. 8 on the front nine on her way to making the turn at two-under-par, 33.
