Duke Women’s Basketball has already received some bad news ahead of the upcoming season with freshman forward Emily Schubert ruled out for the year after suffering a torn ACL in practice.
Emily Schubert is a talented 6-4 forward/center who committed to Duke late last season. She was expected to play a key role for the Blue Devils this year in the post. As a senior she averaged 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game in addition to excelling with the track and field program at her high school. The Duke freshman is expected to apply for a medical redshirt from the NCAA to gain another year of eligibility.
