PINEHURST, N.C. (by Johnny Moore, for GoDuke.com) -- Four members of this past year’s Duke men’s golf team will tee off Monday in arguably the top amateur event in the world of golf – the United States Amateur Championship. The 119th version of this event will take place at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C., played on the famed No. 2 and No. 4 courses.
Rising senior Chandler Eaton and recent graduate Alex Smalley earned exemptions into the championship, while rising senior Steven DiLisio and rising junior Evan Katz clinched a spot in the field of 312 by way of sectional qualifiers.
